Love and Loss
Found wood, poetry
2022
39 x 12 x 2
Each sculpture comes with its own poem by the artist:
Love and Loss
Wood knows loss
and is not scared of her.
Wood knows love
and knows not to hold her;
she is free to come and go.
I talk to Wood about grief.
She listens
and asks
if I want to risk change
or remain stagnant?
Put like this,
I climbed the Summit of Hindsight.
So that I can finally open my fist
and let loss go.
This is exactly when
love pays me a visit
in the shape of your hand.
