Eight young, emerging South African artists respond to one theme – “Far from Home.”

“Home” is an ambiguous and shifting term with cultural, historical and personal significance. And if you’re a young South African, your relationship with home is complicated by the shadows of dominion and violence from the past. “Far from Home” invites eight South African artists to navigate the complex concept of home, presenting it as a space to be reimagined and renovated, a creative journey that takes you away from or brings you closer to the place you call home.

 “Far from Home” features new works, never before exhibited in France, by Fanie Buys, Mia Darling, Boemo Diale, Luca Evans, Jayshal Gajjar, Lebogang Mabusela, Sinalo Ngcaba and Sitaara Stodel.
